During the fasting period you can have water, seltzer water, and even organic bone broth is encouraged because of the high protein.
When you are not fasting you want to consume a lot of vegetables.
Vegetables should make up 50-70% of your caloric count.
When I fast I abstain from refined carbs, sugar and alcohol. I do eat some dairy (cheese, sour cream with soups/salads), lean protein, and lots of healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, etc)
I LOVE to make Soup when fasting!
